We have the pleasure to announce the series of ten two-hour lectures on


Stochastic processes, stochastic methods

and their applications



which will be delivered within the framework of the Erasmus Plus exchange programme by

Prof. Dr hab. Jerzy Dudek

from the University of Strasbourg, France,

from March 16 to March 27, 2015.



The lectures will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, in the lecture hall No. 341, from 9h00 a.m. to 11h00 a.m. One extra hour of discussion-seminar related to the lecture programme and actual problems of science is foreseen everyday at 11h15 . During these courses students will be also informed about the university system in France and about possibilities of continuation of their studies in France and in particular at the University of Strasbourg.


The lectures are intended for graduate and PhD students from various branches of science represented in the faculties of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Sciences, and Chemistry. All the interested foreign students present in the Maria Curie Skłodowska University are particularly welcome.


The lecturer, honorary professor of our University, holds the post of Professeur de Classe Exceptionnelle in France; this shows not only his high scientific position but also his high qualities as lecturer. Professor Dudek is one of the best World experts in subatomic physics.
